MOLIV uses surgical instruments we developed ourselves (patent pending) to minimize follicle damage. We confirmed in the operating room that subtle physical and biochemical damage during extraction and implantation affects engraftment, and we built our own tools specifically to solve that. Both strip (FUT) and FUE methods involve a brief aching sensation at the moment of local anesthesia injection. Once the anesthesia takes effect, little to no pain is felt during the procedure.
