Hair Transplant
Two transplants can differ a great deal: how the follicles are harvested, and whether the head is shaved, decide recovery time and scarring.
A hair transplant moves follicles from an area the hair loss spares — usually the back of the head — to where they are needed. Those follicles keep their original character, which is why they last in their new position.
Two choices shape the plan. The first is harvesting: taking a strip of scalp at once, or extracting follicles one by one. The second is whether to shave. The right answer depends on how many grafts are needed, the condition of the scalp, and when you need to be back at work.
Eyebrows, beard, and sideburns follow the same principle, but the direction and angle of growth have to be designed differently for the result to look natural.
